Appraisal
Score a name. Most of it is mechanical; a few checks are left to your judgement.
Type a name above and press Enter — one name runs the full appraisal, a list opens the ranked table.
What the score means
Your name is run through 27 gates. Hard rules come first, then mechanical checks. Each gate either clears or fails, and the score counts the ones that pass.
A few you will recognise: the phone test, the first-read law, the invoice test, and the anti-slop check. The rest live in the doctrine.
The US trademark screen sits outside the 27. It is a knockout read of the federal register, shown with the result: no hits, the hits themselves, or — when this deployment has no USPTO key — that the name was not screened. A request that fails says it could not screen. None of those is a clearance.
